Psoriasis is a chronic, genetic skin condition characterized by well-demarcated thin or thick scaling plaques, most noted on the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back, but can affect any part of the body. Psoriasis can be associated with nail changes and arthritis. Treatments for psoriasis include topical steroids, injections, oral medications, and biologic antibody medications.
