Surgical Scar Revision

Since my first visit with Dr. Luxenberg, I have felt there is hope for my skin. Being an elderly woman of 88 years, a redhead with freckles and sensitive skin, it has never been easy for me to find a doctor who really took the time to be thorough with examination and treatments. Not only is Dr. Luxenberg the best dermatologist I've ever been treated by, but he also has a pleasant bedside manner and an amazing, interesting personality. I can tell that he genuinely cares if his patients are comfortable during treatments. When I was referred to Dr. Luxenberg, some three years ago, it was a very good day for me.

Dr. Rosenberg has been my dermatologist since 2005. I grew up swimming competitively while also playing water polo, tennis and volleyball and I knew my years in the sun would ultimately catch up to my skin. His proactive approach and thoroughness during my visits has been a tremendous help! Dr. Rosenberg also has a table side manor that other doctors should strive to achieve. His back office staff are kind, friendly and very timely when responding to questions and inquiries. I cannot say enough good things about him and his practice!!!

Mr. Martinez is the best doctor in this world, he helped me allot in my eczema, he is the only doctor after so many year of wasting time was able to bring my eczema level to almost zero, I see him every 3 months, He is never late or out, He always there for me giving me a medicine that no one prescribed to me, even the clinic is not charging allot just affordable price that I am sure other clinics will charge 10 times more, also did couple excisions, and treated my callas and mt allergy. His clinic is also very clean and stuffs are always working. I highly recommend Mr Martinez to everyone. Thanks to you Mr Martinez, you have changed my life for the better! !!! I can not thank you enough. Thank you for always being there when I need you.

Dr luxenberg I was referred to Dr Matthew Luxenberg at the Los Alamitos office by a friend of mine. He came highly recommended. My L jaw line was extremely swollen and painful. I have presently seen Dr Luxenbery 2x so far. The day of the appt the front office staff & the nursing staff were kind & compassionate. My appts have been right on time so I never had any waiting. They used extra precautions due to covid so I felt very safe. I have been an RN PHN for over 30 years and know many many doctors that I have worked with and gone to as a patient. I have been so impressed with Dr Luxenberg that I felt compelled to write a review. Dr Luxenberg is not only an EXCELLENT doctor but he is also very compassionate . It is very difficult t find doctors that have both competency and compassion. Dr Luxenberg has BOTH . Most doctors would NOT have taken care of my medical problem on the 1st visit. They do an initial visit and have you come back . The staff got me an appt within just a few days & the doctor performed surgery on my jaw line at the FIRST VISIT. The office has a surgical room which most doctor offices do NOT have . They have you go t a an out patient surgical clinic or hospital to perform the surgery. This costs the patient a lot of extra money and Incontinence AND increased exposure t covid. It just goes to show how much Dr Luxenberg CARES about his patients & wants to take care of his patients as quick and easy as possible. MY face looks normal again & all my pain is completely gone. I suffered with this pain for over a year. I had went t a plastic surgeon initially in Jan this year . The plastic surgeon did a very poor job on my face and left my jaw line looking abnormal and did not even take care of my medical problem . I was actually in more pain following that appt. I enjoy my visits with Dr Luxenberg because when he is performing surgery he makes SURE the patient has NO pain during the surgery. He is such an excellent doctor he completed my surgery so quickl

I saw Dr Martinez in Mission Veijo, he was so nice. He took the time to listen to me and helped me with my problems. This was the first time I had ever gone and be made me fell as if I have been seeing him for years.

Dr. Radonich has been my doctor for a few years now. He has taken great care of me and my weird looking moles. I have a hard time with the I heal and Dr. Radonich is very meticulous as to how he takes care of his patients. Sometimes I have to wait when I'm there for an appointment but never more than 20 to 30 minutes and he is worth the wait. The office staff isn't the nicest and you can hear every word they say about their personal life, but he makes up for it.

I have been a patient of Dr. Radonich for several years and find him to be a fine professional who always has found the appropriate treatment for my aging skin problems. He is gentle and gives relatively painless shots when needed. He listens and explains very well. I highly recommend Dr. Radonich.

Our family has been seeing Dr. Radonich for a couple of years. He is an amazing doctor he always takes his time to treat you and he is very thorough in explaining the procedure and how to take care of your wounds. He is very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Love his office staff Keanna she's always helpful and nice.

My husband, my kids and I have been a patient of Dr. Radonich for a couple of years. I had some skin cancer removed from my cheeks and he did an amazing job you won't even know that I had a procedure done on my cheeks. Our experience with him has always been good, very professional, always takes his time to discuss what procedure that needs to be done and on how to care for your wounds. His office staff Keanna is always helpful and nice.

I did have to wait (not the first time in a doctor's office) but it was only about 20 minutes. Once I saw the doctor (on 2 occasions), he was patient, listened carefully, and was brutally honest about my condition. I've been dealing with this skin infection for six years and have seen nine different doctors. Dr. Rosenberg didn't waste time prescribing this and that. He pulled out all the stops and gave me the truth - "if this doesn't fix it, I don't know how to fix it." So far, so good - steady progress. But I felt HEARD and not rushed at all. I'd recommend him - it takes a while to see him, but I think it's worth it. Also, the office staff was friendly and efficient.

Dr. Rosenberg's office was like a 2nd home for me for a few weeks. He was working on fixing a botched skin cancer removal performed by another dermatologist in HB. The Dr. and his staff couldn't have been nicer, but what's more important is that this cancer has been removed properly and I am on the mend. He had to cut a large, deep chunk of my cheek out to get all the cancer. It looked pretty scary at 1st, but thanks to the Doctor, it is healing appropriately and the scarring is minimal at this point. He even worked it so part of the scar fell into the crease around my nose making it even less noticeable! I don't mind waiting a little longer for a Doctor if the care is superb! Please beware of some of the other HB dermatologists!!! Stick with Dr. R.!!!!

I was referred to Dr. Rosenberg by Dr. Tan from Urgent Care on Brookhurst. I set an appointment for a Friday morning and when I got in I barely had to wait to get to the room and barely had to wait for Dr. Rosenberg. He looked at what I had (pyogenic granuloma) and gave me a good run down of what it probably is, what it could be, and how he was going to take care of it. Minutes later he cut it off and told me it would be taken for tests just to make sure of what it is. It was quick, painless, and such a relief to have that off of my arm. The whole process was quick, informative, and I was even offered a cash discount with my referral. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenberg and even if you have to wait on a busy day, it is worth it.

My family has been going to Dr. Rosenberg for years...typical mole patrol appointments every year or two. We have moved out of the area and when my daughter was referred to a dermatologist in our area for a skin condition we just assumed her pediatrician knew what he was talking about. BTW--LOVE our pediatrician...BUT after a year of visits and different creams, the dermatologist was unable to bring her any relief. We decided to make the 4-hour trek to Dr. Rosenberg. Within 1 visit we saw a vast improvement. After the 2nd visit(1month later) she was completely "cured". she still has some daily maintenance with over the counter products but unless she gets another "flare up" we do not need to bring her in. I LOVE this man. Oh, and by the way....my 6-year-old loves him too. He knows what he is doing and while it may not be a pleasant experience... someone with confidence and knowledge is a comfort to a patient who is suffering.

If this is the same Dr. Charles Rosenberg I've seen the address is now on Beach and Talbert, not Florida. I must say very nice Doctor, his positive demeanor is comforting and he goes out of his way (for anxious patients like me) to crack jokes and put you at ease. I'm surprised by the negative reviews. He removed a skin tag, took a biopsy of a mole, and prescribed creams for a few of my skin conditions that worked very well/quickly. Absolutely nothing negative to say.

I had moved back into the area and decided to go see my old Dermatologist from when I was in High School, Dr. Rosenberg. He is genuine, honest and very good at what he does which is hard to find these days. The doctors I had seen prior to him were always too focused on selling me products than tending to my needs. My wait time was minimal and the staff was very friendly but professional. Dr. Rosenberg is known to spend quality time with patients and make sure that all their questions are answered- you leave never feeling like you were not taken care of. Today he did just that, answered ALL my questions, looked at all my areas of needs and I was out fairly quickly and feeling good. I highly recommend this doctor for all skin needs. If you want to be in and out the I suggest you book appointments first in the morning or first after lunch. If there is a wait, know that your wait is happening only because he is giving the patient prior to you his all, know that he will do the same for you.

I think Dr. Rosenberg is one of the finest doctors I have ever been to. I had a Mohs procedure done on my nose and it did not even leave the littlest of scars not only that but the office experience was wonderful too. The girls are really sweet and do whatever they can to make you comfortable.

I have been coming to see Dr. Rosenberg for years at his Huntington Beach location and he impresses me every time. I see him multiple times throughout the year for skin check ups, mole removals, and overall keeping my face as fresh as it can be. He actually specializes more with skin cancers so I quite often refer my friends and family to go to him since I trust him so much. Not gonna lie, yes sometimes there is a long wait but frankly, I would be worried if there wasn't! This tells me how great of a doctor he really is. So a great tip when I schedule an appointment I make sure to talk to his receptionist Laura who is always so kind to try to give me either one of the first morning appointments or his first in the afternoon and if not I am willing to wait it out. The office itself is a little small but the rooms are more spacious. The front desk girls are always busy but very willing to help/answer any questions upon arrival. I have also met their friendly office administrator who went over some billing questions I had. It can be hard choosing the right doctor up to your standards but I am so thankful I have come across Dr. Rosenberg and his staff. I would not choose to go anywhere else. He is from New York so if you like someone who is quick to respond and blunt in a good way then you have found the right guy. In all seriousness, one thing that was important to me meeting with any doctor is their bedside manner and their willingness to take their time with you and Dr. Rosenberg shows me that with every visit. I highly recommend as a Dermatologist!!!!!

Had a great experience with Dr. Luxenberg. I did wait more than an hour to be seen as a walk in with an appointment but overall I am very pleased with everything.

I saw Dr. Newman at the Huntington Beach location. Very personable and disarmingly friendly. He seemed to really enjoy conversation. There is a dynamic to people who have decades of experience who could likely retire, but continue to do work because they have a passion for what they do.

Great dermatologist. No nonsense style, efficient but with a running commentary explaining all the time what he was doing. A wealth of experience.

Old Skool Style at its FINEST! Punctual, tells it how it is, doesn\'t prescribe drugs to make a kick back, gives Old Skool remedies (ie, how to apply softening lotions and when what over the counter products can be used instead of totally out of control costs of prescription drugs)....absolutely L-O-V-E! He went over every inch of my body making sure there were no cancerous bumps--he\'s got an eye for it yet if his hawk eye suspects something amiss, he performs the biopsy right there. Along the way, he gives super-great inspirational advice to perk you up for the rest of your week! A great doctor full of Old Skool technology! This guy gets up at 2 am to workout before work! In his 70\'s, I think he said, the office gals are even impressed! You feel better leaving than when you arrived --it\'s THAT GOOD! About a week after my visit, Dr. Newman called me personally to give me my diagnosis. Now THAT\'S OLD SKOOL, and I love it!! NOTE: Parking fee up to $5.00 for the day but well worth the cost in order to visit Dr. Newman!

I have had lipomas all over my arms and have been extremely self-conscious most of my life. They grew and few and were really painful and I had no idea what they were. I did my research of who to see and Dr. Luxenberg came highly recommended. On the first consultation, I was pleased to hear not only were they common but that he would help me. Each time I visit the office I am well taken care of and almost enjoy being there. He is so experienced at this procedure that I have minimal scarring and very little pain. I will always be very grateful to him and his staff...

Dr. Luxenburg is an amazing Doctor. He explains everything he's doing and why. The end result is always good. I'm pleased with the service we receive. We followed him from the Huntington Beach office into Los Alamitos office. We will always return. The office is spotless. The staff is efficient and we have never had any problems in the 6 years that we have been patients with him.

I was tired of my 67-year-old face with all the sun damage on it. At my daughter's wedding, we had a photo taken of the father-daughter dance. My daughter actually Photoshopped my face to remove all the sun spots! Enough was enough, so today I tried to make an appointment with a dermatologist. I went to a dermatologist in Tustin a few years ago, who was just OK but had poor patient skills, was disinterested and her front office was the same. I called a few more and the wait times were as long as 4 months. I needed someone this week! I went to Dr. Luxenberg's website and found time slot open for this afternoon. Perfect! I was able to do the paperwork online and that was helpful. I arrived at his office about 20 minutes before my 2:30 appointment. While waiting, I could hear laughter in the back rooms between the doctor and his patients. Good news. The staff was super friendly and just regular folks. No pretensions or stuffiness here. I did have to wait about 45 minutes before I was taken to the exam room. But please....this is NORMAL in most medical centers, especially for appointments later in the day. I only waited about 10 minutes in the exam room and Dr. Luxenberg arrived. Super friendly, super chatty, and a really nice guy. Instantly likable. We talked for a few minutes and he went right to work on my sun spots and brown spots on my face. He's a really skilled technician who works quickly and talks while he works. The keeps the patient calm and distracted as he practices his art. In a matter of minutes, he treated over 60 black sun spots and several brown age spots. I do not have insurance for this procedure and was surprised that the bill came to only $295. A small price to pay for a rejuvenated complexion. I highly recommend. PS: You people bitching about wait times for the dermatologists, you gotta realize as patients come in for treatment, they could have many additional issues that need to be addressed and treated, usually all in the same time slot. Until I met Dr. Luxenberg, I was pretty sure I would need to be put under general anesthesia to remove it, but he removed it with just local anesthesia and only 2 stitches! It was painful the first couple of days after removal, so I would recommend asking for pain medication if you don't already have any on hand, but I'm three days out now and it feels great! The entire procedure took about 10 minutes, and it looks like I won't even have a noticeable scar. I would definitely recommend Dr. Luxemberg.

I have no IDEA WHY people are bashing this place. My appt was at 2;15 I got in within 30 min for new patient. Saw Dr Radonich he was AWSOME. GREAT GUY. Even brought in Dr Newman for a 2nd opinion these 2 work as a team. Where can you get a 2nd opinion without paying for it. I been seeing man Dr over last 10 years from hip reply to other things.

My boyfriend had to see a dermatologist to have some spots checked out. I found Dr. Luxenberg online and he was close so I made the appointment. Making the appointment was amazing. You do it all online and even fill out medical history online so it's a faster process when you arrive for your appointment. My boyfriend's appointment was at 6pm. We were out by 6:45. Dr. Luxenberg was fast and every time my boyfriend showed him a spot he was quick to tell us what is was and explain it. My boyfriend hates needles. He almost walked out when he saw a needle. But the Dr promised him he wouldn't feel pain and he was right. My boyfriend said it wasn't too bad and he would be happy to come back. If my boyfriend can handle getting stuck with a needle and having things cut off his body by Dr.Luxenberg and be okay with it, then I think it's safe to say he's a good doc that knows what he's doing.

I have been a patient of Dr. Luxenberg for several years. Through the years, I agree that occasionally there had been long wait times, but this seems to have changed as I don't experience them anymore. Dr. Luxenberg is a very caring doctor and spends the necessary time to ensure my questions/concerns have been addressed. It's always a pleasure to see Dr. Luxenberg. I visit the Los Alamitos office and the staff is always friendly and sees to my needs as well. How many doctors do you know that take the time to ask how the family - by name - is doing!! And if there is something you don't like, Dr. Luxenberg wants to know about it so it can be corrected!! I hope this review helps you in deciding on a dermatologist.

I have seen Dr. Luxenberg 4 times since early 2011. I have had multiple surgical procedures for moles and precancers. Dr. Luxenberg has the best surgical hands I have ever seen. All of my removals have healed beautifully without visible scars. His sense of humor and professionalism makes me feel very much at ease. He answers all of my questions clearly and concisely. His office staff are very professional and courteous and very helpful. I have recommended him to my friends and am intending to return to the office for my next scheduled appointment.

As a longtime patient of Dr. Luxenburg's, I feel compelled to share my experience in response to some of the subpar reviews here. I will not deny that the wait time can be excessive on occasion but it's Dr. Luxenburg's excellence in care that gets me down from Los Angeles for appointments. Through the years, he's removed moles with nominal scarring, reminded me about the importance of skin cancer prevention, and helped with multiple other skin related concerns. Secondarily, he is the only one I trust for Botox and filler injections. Cosmetically, there's no margin for error and he's the best. Again, yes, you may need to wait awhile but it's worth it. Once seen, he's fully present and takes as much time as needed to address any concerns at hand.

I have been surfing for years now and every time I would surf for a long time my ribs would get really sore. Eventually little bumps started to grow under my rib cage. After several years they grew to about the size of a golf ball and were really painful if I went on a surf trip or something. I did A LOT of research on everything and anything I could do to get rid of them. Surgery was the LAST thing I wanted to do, but in the end after exhausting all my options it was clear that surgery would be the only thing to provide an effective removal of them. That took me several months to find the right doctor who could provide not only expertise in removing them but hopefully to be done with it once and for all. I found Dr. Matthew Luxenberg on yelp and also google. There are always going to be bad reviews of people but his were very small and had nothing to do with his expertise so I decided to get a consult. He seemed not only confident but down right certain that this was a simple and easy solution, which made me feel better. The surgery went great! Just local anesthesia, and horrible face I make in the video is just for theatrics. Fast-forward six months scars look great and lipomas are gone. Felt weird at first not to have them but its so much better now. Now I can try out for Male Model of the year, expect that I still can't turn left:( Hope this helps those looking and feel free to send me any questions.
